WTF How Long Ago?

All calculations are done client-side in your browser.

All date and time inputs below are interpreted in this timezone. Open the dropdown and type a region letter to jump — A for Africa/America/Asia/Atlantic/Australia, E for Europe, P for Pacific.

Date-only mode uses midnight UTC for each selected date.

Specific date / time → now

The classic one: pick an exact moment and see how long ago it was in days, hours, minutes, and seconds. If it is in the future, the card flips to a countdown.

Unix timestamp / epoch

For logs, APIs, databases, exports, and general timestamp nonsense. Paste a Unix timestamp and this will decode it immediately.

Auto mode treats 10-digit-ish values as seconds and 13-digit-ish values as milliseconds. Negative timestamps also work.

Between two moments

Use this when the question is not “how long ago?” but “what is the exact gap between these two things?” Same engine, same timezone logic, same no-server nonsense.
